I just love to see how other (more talented) people style and photograph my ceramics.  Here is a gorgeous photo that a customer, Kirsty, took of my breakfast bowls.  Mind you, it's not just any old happy snap.  Kirsty has a beautiful style blog Otis and Otto, so she is super creative.

Falling for Florin

I recently made a set of custom speckled cups for a gorgeous online shop called Falling for Florin.  Owner Emma, is passionate about supporting Australian artists and has a range of unique homewares, ceramics and jewellery, all handmade in our own backyard. I was so excited to see my pieces so beautifully styled on the website.  As I write, a matching serving platter is in the kiln and will be available exclusively from Falling for Florin very soon!

Mini Break

Brooms Head is a small beachside town in Northern New South Wales, about 20 minutes from Maclean.  We have been holidaying there with family and friends for the past 15 years and it is my favourite place in the whole world! Although to tell you the truth I haven't been to that many places in the world!  However.. it is quiet and picturesque, and is the perfect antidote to a hectic city life (or in my case suburban life).  For five days last week, we swapped driving for long walks on the beach, traded nightly television viewing for lively, and sometimes drunken, discussions around the fire, and most importantly switched off those time-sapping digital devices and soaked up the sun, surf and great company!!  And I even found time for some plein-air pottery!

I am Here

Super happy to have my scalloped planter featured in a favourites list by style blogger Hayley from Deerfield Vintage.  Her Victorian based shop sells high quality vintage clothing and accessories. Check it out here.

Fresh from the Kiln

I just fired a new batch of rustic bowls and dishes.  The bowls are heading off to lovely customers in Victoria and Canada, but the shallow dishes will be for sale at the upcoming Tweed River Gallery Artisan market in May.
